Suzanne D'Amico
Running for Re-Election
Suzanne D’Amico has been a Farmingdale Board of Education trustee since 2016 and currently serves as vice president. She has served on many committees, including the Safety Committee, the Wellness Committee, the Policy Committee, Math/ELA/World Language Curriculum Committee, the Industry Advisory Council, the Shared Decision Committee, and the Legislative Action Committee. She has been an active child and community advocate — serving as president of both the SEPTA and PTA Council — and served on the Board of Directors of the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce. She received the NYS PTA Jenkins Award from SEPTA in 2013, she was awarded the New York State School Board Association’s Board Achievement Award in 2018 and 2021 and was also the recipient of the S.C.O.P.E. Award for her Board of Education Service in 2022. Ms. D’Amico earned her associate degree in business management at Briarcliffe College and worked at a stock trading and retirement planning firm for eleven years before trading in her career to become a stay-at-home mom. She and her husband Scott have three children, all currently enrolled in Farmingdale schools. Suzanne also has a degree in audio recording technology with a minor in vocal performance from Five Towns College. In 2012, her passion for photography and working with special needs children led her to start a home-based child and family photography business. In addition to her passion working with children, she has additionally spent the last 2 years as a 1:1 special education aide in a neighboring district and has found that her knowledge, compassion and own life experiences is serving her best in this very rewarding position.

George Andriopoulos

2018 Farmingdale High School Wall of Famer and life-long Daler (class of '97) George Andriopoulos is a distinguished CEO, management consultant, turnaround expert, and leader renowned for his transformative impact across management consulting, pharmaceutical, and non-profit sectors, with a specialty in turnaround. With over 20 years of experience, he established Launchpad Five One Six in 2013, a boutique consulting firm that has significantly enhanced the growth and efficiency of over 1,000 organizations. This success led to the strategic expansion into a marketing agency, a podcast production company, along with a leadership coaching division underscoring his strategic acumen and commitment to leadership development. A compelling public speaker, George has delivered keynote addresses on corporate, collegiate, and convention stages all over the world. He has delivered three TEDx talks, including one in Northern Ireland. His expertise in thought-leadership is further showcased through his role as executive producer of multiple TEDx events. In 2022, he co-founded SPEAK, a global public speaking platform that amplifies voices worldwide through live events and streaming media. George's community involvement is as profound as his corporate achievements. His commitment to his hometown of Farmingdale, NY is unparalleled, specifically his work with Farmingdale School District. George has been a member of the District Shared Decision Making Committee, Legislative Action Committee, and the Industry Advisory Council for a number of years. He is a staunch community advocate and has dedicated countless hours to student endeavors including annual lectures for the FHS Business Department classes, as a regional and state judge for DECA, and as a mentor to students who have spoken on his TEDxFarmingdale stage. George is also an experienced School Board Trustee having been a member of the St. Nicholas Greek School Board in Babylon, NY for 3 years. He co-founded Shannon’s Fight, a non-profit providing financial aid to those in medical crises, and actively participates in organizations like Ronald McDonald House (as an ambassador, speaker, and advisor), Long Island Coalition Against Bullying (as an ambassador and donor), and the Police Activity League (as a coach and commissioner of basketball). His dedication to business excellence, leadership, and community service exemplifies his strategic vision and impactful leadership. George is a proud husband to his incredible wife and the father of four future world-changers.
